Reflection on Spain

27.6. 18:00 + 4.9. 15:58I'm sitting at the airport once again. In two hours I will be sitting on a plane to Austria. My feelings? Mixed. Even though I've learned that I should take some time to "feel my feelings", I'm too afraid right now. So as always, I turn to writing. Usually the words... Continue Reading →

Night Dive and Hiking in Tenerife

As my time in Spain is coming to an end, I thought about what I still wanted to see before I leave. I’ve travelled a lot, but I still had Tenerife and Ibiza on my bucket list. I checked flights and accommodations and did some research, which led me to believe that I wouldn’t be… Continue Reading →

Making a Dream Come True

About 10 years ago, I first thought about travelling through Latin America. What started as a thought turned into a wish and slowly progressed into a dream. The journey was long: I first moved to Australia in 2019. This is the year when my desire to go to Latin America became very strong. I met... Continue Reading →

The Cost of Chasing a Dream

6.5.26 22:21It's so important to me to be authentic and at the same time it's impossible for me to record a story (on Instagram) when I'm feeling as low as I do right now. In that case, it's always easier for me to write.Writing has been my outlet ever since I was capable of writing.... Continue Reading →

An Eventful Busride

9.4. 20:58Thursday morning, and I didn’t expect today to be any different from any other normal day. But I was wrong. Something would happen. Something that would shake me up a little bit. I did my morning walk and then went back home to start working, as I always do. After I finished work, I... Continue Reading →

Morocco Travel Diary

26.12. 17:57It's been a while. It's been such a long time that it feels a little weird to write like this again. But only for a little bit. The more I write, the easier I find it. This year, I haven't travelled a lot. At least way less than last year. But even apart from... Continue Reading →

Goodbye 2024 – Hello 2025

Last year was the first time I set goals for the new year, and this year, I want to do the same. So let's start with the fun part and review last year's goals: More self care in terms of moving my body, working out, focusing on my mental health and regular massages to show... Continue Reading →

Volunteering in Valencia after DANA caused a disastrous flood

11 days after DANA caused a disastrous flood in Valencia, I go into the affected areas for the fourth time. The more often I go there, the more it seems to affect me. Physically and mentally. Guilt is just one of the many feelings I'm feeling whenever I come back from volunteering. Questions start to arise: Why did this catastrophe happen? How is it possible to live a normal life next to a war zone-like area? Did a movie just become a reality? How much more will I be able to handle?

DANA In Valencia – Diary of a Volunteer

It’s been six days since a disastrous flood caused by DANA surprised the state Valencia in Spain. Six days since houses were destroyed, and over 200 people died. Hundreds are still missing. What does a small town in Valencia look like after it has been hit by a catastrophe? A volunteer sums it up in their diary.

Another trip to Austria

Yes, it's been a while. Life in Valencia keeps me busy. Well, I keep myself busy. Only when I moved here, I found out how much I truly missed the city life. As a young person who likes to explore new things, get to know new people, and just being outside, life in my small... Continue Reading →

A holiday in Austria

03.03.2024I'm sitting on the aeroplane to Austria. It's hard to think about my time in Valencia. I've only spent two months there, but it feels like I've been there for a year. I can't even believe that my South/North/Eastern Europe Road trip was only three months ago. To me, it feels like it's been forever.... Continue Reading →
