A Short Trip To Bratislava

Slovakia is one of our neighbor countries – a shame I haven’t been there yet since I live less then three hours away. That needed to change before I leave Austria, who knows when I will be this close again? And of course I still had a few days off so I took the chance and booked a hotel.

Usually when I travel I want to see the city and it’s attractions but this time I wanted to make a wellness holiday, since I have never done that before. Also after working for almost ten years now, I think I deserve to relax a little bit.

So I started to check out booking to find a hotel with swimmingpool, sauna and massage. There were a lot of different options, but people who know me, know that I was looking for a cheap option with good recommendations. I chose Hotel Devin. It was a good choice, they were very friendly and the 90 minutes coconut oil massage was super relaxing and the price 55€ was more than ok.

Naturally it wouldn’t be me, if I hadn’t gone to see the Ufo observation deck. What surprised me, was that there were only a few people, but I was there at 11 am. So maybe that was the reason. I liked it because I was the only person up there, so I could enjoy the view all to myself. The price was 7,40€.

Later in the hotel I used the room service for lunch because I always wanted to do that one time in my life, so another thing checked of my list.🤗 I can totally recommend that, since it is not more expensive than going to a restaurant, and you can enjoy the food in your pyjamas.

Bratislava has a lot of castles and nice buildings but I didn’t visit them because like I said, I just wanted to relax. But if anybody is interested in old buildings and/or relaxing I totally recommend Bratislava – a beautiful city with good prices. If you wonder how much time you should spend there I think that three days is more than enough. I stayed one day and two nights and it was enough for me.
