Recently I came back home from my short trip to Paris, where I visited my sister. Many people say ‘What? Your sister lives in Paris? That’s so cool!’.
I also think it’s very cool to have a sister in Paris, and for her it’s an awesome opportunity to study at one of the best universities. But I could never ever imagine to live there. I visited Paris in 2017 for 4 days and now for 2 days and there’s always a disgusting smell, no matter whether you are in the metro or walk through the streets. I would never want to have that smell everyday.
Of course France has amazing food, nobody can deny that. Who could say no to a fresh baked croissant or a pain au chocolate? The bakerys in Paris offer everything you desire. But honestly who could afford that every day in an expensive city like Paris? I mean the rents there are incredible high, and if you want to go out for dinner and maybe have a few drinks you better take a lot of money with you.
The tourist attractions on the other hand are truly marvelous and definitely worth a trip. But that’s it. If I am really honest I have to admit that seeing the Eiffeltower a second time wasn’t that spectacular. And the traffic in Paris is crazy. I would never want to drive a car there. Being my sisters co-driver was enough excitement for me.
In conclusion I think Paris is an expensive city with beautiful buildings and a very bad smell. Of course I just saw Paris for a few days and haven’t lived there so I can only write about the impression I got. But my sister agrees. 😉
